Hi Chaps,

Those of you with a MACRO wholesalers card will already know, but those of you that have access to one or know someone who has one, may like to know about a CENTURION PROPP70DVD twin 7 inch screen DVD player. This weeks MACRO mail is offering it at

I had to get to the store an hour before it opened, and I wasnt first in the queue, there were 38 available so I was just lucky, but several hundred behind me were not.

I've tried it and it seems a quality piece of kit. I have now fitted a loom to the car, so that player and screens can be removed when not required. Required 1 nine pin din connection.

ah, its alright, i was in a hurry to get them, you know the storey, board out of you're brain on Sunday, so i decided to go motor world, and finally get round to installing new speakers, which has been on my list for a while - certainly made the day go quicker.

Mind you, i might be installing a radio cassette with CD Changer soon into my wife's car, and that is the place ime going to get them.

My 7" screens are too big to fit the headrest apature so dont think that there is a ready solution.

If you have the centurion system, the centurion web site does have some headrest clamps.

Personally, the price and attractiveness of in car DVDs leads me to keep the system removable, by me and not some scally.

If you plan to run a loom for perminant wiring, I can give you the pin out, and Maplin part numbers to make up the leads.

Found a good mains to cigarette plug transformer at the local camping shop giving a 6amp output, to run the system out of the car.

Interesting how after Macros sale of these items at unbeatable prices, that EBay is now flooded with them.

This what I intend to do with mine. There is an AV input on the front of each screen, so I intend to plug the Playstation into one screen (I would think it is a muti0band 3.5mm jack plug similar to those used on Camcorders.) Therefore one screen will still be able to watch the DVD whilst the other is on the playstation. I haven't tried it yet, but if I get a chance I will try tonight.

I had a try tonight. As soon as you plug into the front A/V socket the screen automatically switches over to it. The 3.5mm plug is of the stereo headphone type, with the tip being the audio, first band video and 3rd ground. I just used my camcorder a/v connector using the yellow (video) and white (left audio) phono connectors. So to connect the playstation should be straightforward. Hope this helps.
